The MEGA size delivers significant benefits compared to our standard 3x3 inch plugs. The larger size means each plug covers more ground, reducing the number of plugs needed and the time spent planting. Putting it into perspective, an 8-pack of 3x3-inch grass plugs can cover approximately 18 square feet. Meanwhile, you only need two of the 6x6-inch SodPods® MEGA plugs to cover the same area. This highlights how much more efficient and cost-saving the larger plugs are for your lawn repair.

Repairing Lawn with SodPods® Grass Plugs

Transforming your lawn with SodPods® is not only effective but also incredibly easy and homeowner-friendly.

• Dig: Start by digging a hole slightly larger than the plug. Ensure the hole is deep enough to accommodate the entire root system of the plug, allowing it to sit level with the surrounding soil.
• Insert the Plug: Place the plug into the hole, making sure it fits snugly and is level with the ground. Press the surrounding soil gently around the plug to remove air pockets and facilitate good soil-to-root contact.
• Water: Water the newly planted plugs thoroughly immediately after planting. This initial watering helps the roots settle into their new environment, providing the necessary moisture for the plugs to grow. Keep the area moist for the first two weeks to aid the establishment.
